There was a time before real estate.
For Barbara, it was an era of adventure, education, and discovery. In 1971, Barbara moved from San Diego, California to Oregon with her husband, Ken. While he pursued greatness on the basketball floor and in the classrooms of George Fox University, Barbara obtained her nursing license.
Barbara worked as a nurse, Ken worked as a school teacher and coach, and, eventually, they followed their entrepreneurial passions and ventured into multiple business adventures
Her First Business
In the mid 1980’s, Barbara and Ken worked with partners and purchased two cattle and horse ranches in Yamhill County. Through creativity and hard work, these properties were converted into Christmas tree farms, timber production, and a nursery. Their hands-on experience in these developments and operations became a stepping stone to a new career.
In 1990, Barbara obtained her Oregon real estate license, and, through hard work, persistence, and effective networking, she quickly became a respected leader and a top producer in the Oregon real estate community. Her first sale was a 425 acre ranch that was developed into a world famous winery in Yamhill, Oregon, the first hint of many more exciting property development projects to come.
She has gone on to be instrumental in the purchase and sales of subdivisions, commercial and industrial properties, and single family residences for hundreds of satisfied clients.
Building A Home in Southshore
In 2004, Barbara represented a developer that purchased the final building phase in Southshore, near Newport, Oregon on the Central Oregon Coast. She successfully represented the seller and many buyers in the sale of dozens of homes in this picturesque development. Southshore has been “home” to Greenman Properties’ main office since 2005. Clients in Southshore and surrounding areas continue to rely on Barbara’s skillful marketing and negotiating to bring them successful results.
She is “all in” when it comes to effective marketing. Greenman Properties maintains membership in 3 regional MLS systems, assuring a wide presence and exposure throughout the northwest.
